Our client has an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Commercial Analyst to join their Dyce based team on a permanent basis.
Reporting directly to the UK Head of Commercial & Business Management, the role will work across the UK business, analysing operational and financial data whilst preparing creative and sustainable cost modelling for future tenders and customer proposals.  The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in cost analysis and modelling, along with expertise in developing cost sheets for tenders.
Responsible for analysing different commercial mechanisms, the role will include preparing pricing strategy for board presentations, reviewing trends from previous tenders and effective data visualisation and presentation using graphs to model different scenarios.
The role will help business determine competitive pricing strategies to improve market share whilst increasing operating margins across all business units. Analysis of data will be taken from multiple sources across the business to ensure robust decisions are taken when preparing complex pricing models.
Duties Include:
·Perform competitor analysis and develop pricing strategies for UK customers
·Draft strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing projects
·Create reports reflecting metrics and project status, objectives and barriers
·Ensure current operational information relative to commercial modelling is accurate and robust
·Review requirements for all key customers on how we can improve data management and reporting
·Support creation of business plan with potential to extend Company current services to all stakeholders
·Own end-to-end price management process and support with negotiating/evaluating key contracts
·Implement robust business process and ongoing performance metrics
·Ensure proposals concisely and accurately reflect strategy discussions, meet client needs, offer consistent messaging, include relevant differentiators, convey value proposition and critical success factors.
·Prepare pricing presentations for distribution to the AMB and Business Unit Leads
·Create solid strategic relationships with stakeholders, which may create new opportunities for Company
·Understand key objectives from each of the key stakeholders, identifying contract growth areas
·Understand customer commercial objectives and preferences around commercial modelling, identifying opportunities to simplify contracts and minimise risk within each contract.
Required Competencies:
·High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data
·Analytical and highly numerate with a solid understanding of financial principles and best practice
·Implementation of processes/KPI's to drive efficiency and focus on digitalisation where appropriate
·Ability to manage seamless operational change and strong project administration skills
·Solutions based with strong planning and organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
·Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure
·Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and in writing
·Ability to work standalone while a positive contributor to the wider team
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
Desirable Qualifications
Full UK driving licence
